Note: The date of the new year varies, but normally falls in the second half of September in the Gregorian calendar; the general calendar position is maintained by adding, in some years, an extra period of 29 days, Adar Sheni, following the month of Adar
  Muslim calendar. Muslims use a lunar calendar which begins 10 or 11 days earlier each year in terms of the Gregorian. The months do not, however, have a fixed number of days. The priesthood declares the official start of each month. The names of the months are as follows.
